| | I know I can't believe it either, but I think after the seventh I was more willing to read more of other books, and my list just keeps growing and growing. I've kept myself busy for that long, but because it has been so long, They are on my to-read list. |

| Our town library sucks and my mother still moniters what I take out. She wouldn't even let me read The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants until last year, and once I did read it, I was so disappointed because I was expecting something amazingly dirty or with terrible morals or something but it turned out to be just an average book with no "mature content" or anything. And that's one of the things that me want to slap my mother-- I'm 14 for God's sake! I should be allowed to read what I want! And anything she thinks is awful or whatever, I've probably read worse in the 5th grade, to be quite honest with you. So yeah. That's why I don't get to read a lot of new or interesting books. =/ _________________

| | That really sucks. My mom doesn't care what I read. When I was 12 she gave me Wikced, and I was like Mom! I can't believe you offered this to me. |

| yeah, my parents don't really care what I read either... maybe you ought to just tell her that you're in HS now, and you think you should be more free to choose your own books without her shooting everything down. Idk about you, but I read some stuff that's just as bad in school.. with calling people whores and bitches and stuff. Idk if that's what she's really worried about or not? _________________ E Pluribus Unum

| Well there's a good example, Luna! When Wicked came to the Bushnell last year (the play), my English teacher got us tickets to go see it but in order to qualify for that trip, we had to read the book first and write an essay on how the book demonstrates strong feminism. So anyway, I read it and my mother didn't know/care. And I know I've definately read some... interesting things... outside of school that she didn't really check. And I don't mean little "let's have sex" business, but seriously X-rated stuff in adult books just lying around in one of our vacation homes. But if anything even suggests to her that there's something non-G rated, she will FREAK and not let me read it.
In conclusion, I can still read them but I have to be sneaky about it and not tell her. _________________

| That's actually pretty cool that you got to read for school though. I always feel like school books are hardly ever much fun. I had one teacher who said that if I ever had a free period a could teach a part of his class on Harry Potter which I thought would be really awesome, but I am not going to be able to fit that in to my schedule |

| I totally know what you mean; Most of the usual books we read for school are some sort of wanna-be tragic with morals book that has no description whatsoever and which to someone who reads alot seems like something a first grader might read for fun. _________________

| | Yeah, my English and history classes are a block so I have the same teacher for both, so usually what happens is the book we read has to do with what we are studying in history so that we can relate the two subjects together. |

| We only have history books at my school, and not the good ones either. im a major Haryy Potter fan and i think that Ron from the movies is hot. Also, my parents dont care what i read and my mom once encouraged me to read a very adult (rated r) book when i was 10. I've been scarred for life since. lol. jk. |

| My sister has the biggest crush on Tom Felton, who plays Draco Malfoy in the movies but I personally wouldn't even watch them if I weren't such a kind person (willing to give them a chance... ) so I don't really like any of the actors.
The guys' hair was wayy too long in Goblet of Fire, I thought.
Anyone else think Sirius Black is hot? (From the books?) _________________

| My mom doesn't care either, she says she trusts my judgement on what I read. _________________
