| Ahh, that's cool. Y'know what's good practice? Maybe layouts for journals and stuff. I used to have a site on xanga with a friend making layouts for xanga.
I think I'm going to make a photo tutorial for everyone qualified to update the site. I think about 400 or 500 posts. I'd feel kind of hypocritical when I don't even have 1000. =P Or maybe we should just say like, if you're an active member for ____ amount of time. idk =\

Here's what you'll see (after scrolling down a bit) when you go to edit the index(home) page.
First off, let's break down the colors:
Yellow.. This is your font size. Be sure to close any font size changes with < / font > (no spaces) or it'll mess up the whole thing. Probably won't be editing this much, but just an fyi..
Orange.. This is the title for the page. You shouldn't be editing this, but I thought I'd let you know
Green.. Date of the entry, pretty self explanatory =P
Blue.. This is where the entry goes. The < br > (no spaces) is very important. When typing codes like this, enters don't count. You can press the enter button until your fingers turn blue and it won't show up. < br > is the same as an enter. Here's an example:
Hi< br >My name's Melanie would be
Hi
My name's Melanie
Hi< br >< br > My name's Melanie would be
Hi
My name's Melanie
You can also add it to the end of a statement as I did in the code, like so < br >
Pink.. This is the code for the comment link. I usually just put it on the latest entry, so if you're adding a new entry, just cut the code out of the previous one and past it under your new entry.
Brown.. This is meant to include the img src = tag too. This is the image for the divider that goes between entries. Finish it with a < br > < br > So there's some space between entries.
So that's basically it. Also, when you post any sort of entry or anything, it's in there TWICE, so you'll need to scroll near the bottom of the code and paste it again. =]
