I KNOW! I mean, I feel so ridiculously self-conscious around *some guys that I do the most embarrassing things, some done half-consciously that I don't realize until it happens.

My most embarassing problem is that I blush ALL the time, especially around guys, even if I'm not feeling remotely embarassed. And then when I realize I'm blushing, I'm so embarassed that I blush harder. SO in total, blushing really sucks and makes moi anti social because I don't want anyone to see me blushing.

I don't know. Sometimes I feel more comfortable around guys than girls. I guess I feel less like I am being judged. I know that's weird, but true.

Same here. I'm fine around friends, and I do have a lot of guy friends. It's just other guys that I have trouble talking to.

I find that guys are nice to be around because they're so straight forward and sometimes that can be absolutely hilarious.

I've never had much trouble in the blushing department (my skin's fairly olive for it), but I know what you mean Fee. I think I do a lot of crazy things that make up for the lack of it Razz

Yup, I know what you mean luna. I don't have trouble around all guys. Just those those ones I want to impress (for some reason I can not fathom).
However, I find it absolutely comfortable to talk to guys about video games.

I only lose my ablility to speak when I am around a guy who I like like.

But I am slowly overcoming it...

And I love talking to guys about sports and video games. Oh, movies and music are also good topics for me. They ease the "tension" if there is any...

Me too, well actually for me its more of a loss of ability to say anything intelligent and avoiding eye-contact.

That's good, I'm still trying to overcome it. The worse thing is that it's instinctive for me.

I've been thinking and it's really more of the classroom atmosphere that bothers me, I think. I'm really weird. Two years ago, I got up in front of the entire 7th grade acadamy and made a speech about student government reps -- without blushing once -- and won the election. But yet, if I have to talk to someone in just a normal class, I get nervous/uncomfortable unless I start the conversation. If a guy I like surprises me by talking randomly out of nowhere, I turn wicked red and that's annoying.

Teachers make me nervous too, which only adds to my blushing-ness. Embarassed

For me, the guy I like is one of my best friends, so it sorta weird. I have no problem talking to him, but then part of me doesn't want to get together, in case it doesn't work out and then I lose a friend.

you know what happened to one of my best friends?

she really liked this guy, told him that she really liked him.

He told her that he really likes her too, but he is "waiting for someone" but asked if they could still be friends.

she of course said yes.

the thing with him and the other girl didn't work out, and my friend and him were still talking and such.

last night they went on a date.

so as long as you don't chop off contact I am pretty sure you will be fine, and who knows? may be it will work out in the end!

I don't know. I mean it was with someone who I don't even think goes to our school. it was weird cause he didn't want to admit it but everyone seemed to know about it anyway. But it's OK. I sort of pictured us getting together more like after a couple years of college. Part of me doesn't really want to start anything now in High school cause i don't know if it would last and I think it could if I was patient, you know?
